Sensible Solutions Spanning the Talent Gap

BEWARE OF PHISHING SCAMS / FRAUD NOTICE

We have been made aware of certain fraudulent schemes that are being conducted by individuals or organizations claiming to represent ‘Beck Eastwood Recruitment’ (using the following domains:  beckeastwoodhr.com and beckeastwoodco.com).

SB Solutions Inc was originally founded as Beck Eastwood Recruitment Solutions since inception in 1985, named after the two partners, Steven Beck & Gary Eastwood.  We incorporated in 2014 and changed the name to SB Solutions Inc when my business partner Gary Eastwood chose to step down from the partnership.  However, we’ve maintained our ownership of the legacy beckeastwood.com domain which is being forwarded to our current domain:  sbsolutionsinc.net.

The perpetrators are using variations of the old Beck Eastwood domain and contacting job posters regarding bogus job posts.  When they interview the candidate, they perform a bait & switch stating that the job the candidate initially responded to is no longer available but that they have another role in mind.  The new position would be working on contract, virtual / home office for an overseas entity / executive.  These types of fraud tend to occur through online services including bogus websites, social media accounts, online job boards, or through unsolicited emails or text messages. The aim of the fraud is to trick you into believing you are communicating with a legitimate business executive or other representative in order to enter into a business relationship with, or apply for and/or obtain contract employment with the goal of obtaining your personal information or money. The Beck Eastwood name, our old mailing address and even written correspondence and other Company information is being used without express permission or consent to try to convey a sense of business authenticity.

We’ve notified the legal department of the ISP / webhost of the deceptive website, however, it is very simple for the perpetrators to close one domain and open another similarly named domain to continue the scam.

We recommend that you DO NOT RESPOND to any unsolicited offers of employment or to engage in a business relationship with anyone using a variation of the ‘Beck Eastwood’ domain. If you believe you are the victim of any fraudulent activity, we advise you to contact local law enforcement.

Warning sign of fraudulent activity:

If you receive solicitations, recruiting or hiring documentation, advertisements, or emails that contain spelling and grammatical errors, or which are poorly formatted.

If you receive an email from an email address using a variation of @beckeastwoodhr.com or @beckeastwoodco.com be aware these are fraudulent and NOT affiliated with our company!

If you are asked to only contact a mobile phone number rather than an office.  Or if you try to call the phone number(s) provided on the bogus website and they are no longer in service, then be assured that it is definitely a scam.

Or if you are asked to participate in an “interview” or conduct a business relationship exclusively by chat, text, or email.

If you are asked to send money for any purpose prior to entering into a contract or receiving a job (for example, to cover claimed processing fees, immigration or visa costs, or recruiter fees).

SB Solutions Inc never requires applicants to submit money or its outside recruiters to pay for travel, immigration, or other fees or expenses.

If you receive a request for personal information early during the process, such as your address, date of birth, passport information, social security number, banking details or if there is an insistence on urgency for you to act on the correspondence received within very short time frames.  Then this most likely is a phishing scam.

Be warned, be safe, and please, protect your personal information.
